Leftovers Again

My Mom initially taught me to cook.  From scratch.

I couldn't abide eating out or delivery all the time.  It is a treat and wouldn't be otherwise.  An occasion is just that.

She also taught me not to be wasteful.

Mom grew up dirt poor during the Depression.  They threw little away and reused what they could.

This stuck with her all her life and she passed it on to me.

Even in relative affluence, it does well to save.  It has proven to be fruitful in the long run.

I passed cooking skills to our kids and hope they do so for any kids of their own.  Keep it rollin'.

Times may get tough.  At least in what might be new Light coming, we should never take it for granted.

Waste not, want not.

Be ready.
