They see things many of us never do. We only hear of them and shake our heads.
The Sociology head at college recommended that I consider counseling cops. I had a long relationship with the departments here. Also, I had actually counseled already.
No details and its confidential, but cops often see the worst of people. Some they see are barely people.
I've counseled both victims and cops. Living through experiencing evil sometimes is a steep climb and that's for the cops as well as victims.
Patience, caring and facing the problem are major.
I will not reiterate experiences. There is no reason to repeat tragedy. Yet rape murder and trafficking cannot be ignored.
What can each of us do?
The question is open.
One thing is certain.
We must DO.
