My Books

 They are coming.

A long time coming.  There is no overnight fame here lol.

As for acceptance, well they'll reach their intended audience.  -s-

Success will come on my terms.

Not arrogance, just service.

I have a plan and it will be seen unfolding.  It is now, quietly.

I'm sharing part of my purpose here.

These aren't vagaries.  These are specifics.

I hope you like them.

2 Priests

He was in need of retreat.

Life piled on and he needed to sort it out.  He needed to listen to God.

He sought refuge for a brief time.

The Retreat House had been that before.

The staff were loving and welcoming as well as accommodating on a previous journey.

This time, they were the same.  They even welcomed him with a steak dinner!

The problem was the priest who had become the director.

He was gone when the man had arrived.

When he returned, he interrogated the needful visitor.  His manner was accusing and acerbic, not what someone needing retreat required.

Father A had been there on the visitor's first quest.  He disapproved of the fraternization between the staff and the visitor.  He was rebuffed by the staff.

Now he sought revenge.

The visitor was summarily kicked out.  No retreat for him.

Aghast, the visitor paid a call on Father B.  He was senior pastor at a church which served the inner city.  His associate Father C had been a campus pastor when the visitor was serving the same at a nearby church.

Father B welcomed the visitor as a pilgrim and had him shown to one of the vacant rooms at the nun's apartment.

There was no question.

One priest was, to be frank, unChristian.

The other was diametrically opposite and served the Lord, not himself.

A tale of 2 priests.

Leftovers Again

My Mom initially taught me to cook.  From scratch.

I couldn't abide eating out or delivery all the time.  It is a treat and wouldn't be otherwise.  An occasion is just that.

She also taught me not to be wasteful.

Mom grew up dirt poor during the Depression.  They threw little away and reused what they could.

This stuck with her all her life and she passed it on to me.

Even in relative affluence, it does well to save.  It has proven to be fruitful in the long run.

I passed cooking skills to our kids and hope they do so for any kids of their own.  Keep it rollin'.

Times may get tough.  At least in what might be new Light coming, we should never take it for granted.

Waste not, want not.

Be ready.
