Legacy

 What's passed down?  What's left?

There was a guy who was swindled out of over 6 inheritances.  It was naivety.  There was an air of being above such things.  He didn't need it.  He talked himself into believing that.

Unscrupulous people stole from him.  The last to to so was his own sister.  The wounds were deep.

There is a lot more to the story of intrigue and greed.  It could be a book.  Maybe it will be in his tell all someday.

What remains is betrayal.  Its memory wounded and will leave scars.  Those scars are a reminder that he will never allow such perfidy to happen again.

Yes there are wonderful memories of family, friends and associates.  Even more, there are spiritual and moral gifts noone can take away and which add to his content of character.

But, there is nothing wrong with receiving money or property as a transitional offering to continue using on this side.  It can be a basis for growth and prosperity for the future.

We must, however, draw upon and make our own prosperity.

Apply this tale to our country.

Let us go forward and heal our wounds.  Let us build a nestegg of Freedom.  Our scars must remind those to come not to forget what it takes to be Free.

To make our own luck and build on those opportunities.

Backstage

I knew a girl who said her family preferred to be a power behind the throne.  Ok, long as it's for the right reasons.

Some people like to help or hinder and be if not anonymous, at least more quiet.  They are then free to go about relatively hindrance free.

I remember stageplays in which I acted.  In smaller productions, I worked backstage too.  I even helped build a stage/theater once.

All the busyness of showbiz goes on.  It's quite frenetic.  The audience only sees the tip of the iceberg.   There is so much going on.

Set building, special effects and lighting/sound are finished and tweaked.  It all works in congress to make a production happen.

Congress.  So much happens behind the scenes there.  So it goes elsewhere.

Be a part of it.  Don't just expose bad guys/actions.  Promote the good.  And become a part of it one way or another.

Lotta energy generated backstage.  It's exciting.

Another opening, another show.

Paper

Or plastic?  Well no.  Separate issue.

I'm old school.  I usually get a printed receipt for most purchases.  And there are plenty of trees, though I recycle.  Of course, I can check my bank statement.  But what if the lights go out?

I'm a great fan of paper and ink.  Moving, I'm reminded how heavy a box of books can be.  Still, the workout is worth it.

I remember a power outage years ago.  That was a matter of waiting til the lights came back on.  No problem.  I read and wrote by candlelight.  A kid we knew practically withered being computerless.

I remember pre pc days.  Perhaps the kids will see electronic wonders yet untold.  But the issue remains: What if the juice is cut off.  It's simple really.

Store everything you can.  Disperse it.  Both print and memory drives.

Capture it now before history etc becomes a memory faded with collectivist drivel.

Learn some old fashioned ways and check new tech.

Scissors cut paper but paper wraps rock.  Rock blunts scissors.

Never give up.

Genies

Romantic visions of magic carpets and romance under the desert sky come to mind.  A genie in a bottle becomes a hot chick or a big lovable blue guy.  Nope.

There are different djinns as they are known.  Now I'm not asking you to believe this, just the idea.

They are the opposite of angels and antihuman.  Oh, deals can be made with some, as in other faiths, but they are deceitful and darkness awaits those who deal.

What's the point?

Don't get lost in fantasy.  Don't get tricked.

Make your own dreams/wishes come true.

Have faith in God and Freedom.

Keep your eyes open and head on a swivel.

Sands.

Usually sand is rough.  Yet, the grains slip smoothly away.   The year is two thirds over.  What remains?

So many of my family, friends, associates are gone.  I'm still here.  There is no shame.  Only puzzlement.

The darkside wants us to feel alone, to despair, to become hopeless.  I won't do that.

Yes, there is pain and mourning.  But, in spirit, these people actually cannot be taken away.  I know they live.  Spirit is life.

Many of these people have taught me about life.  Freedom, dignity, content of character and so much more live within me.  And these qualities come out and about.  They must be shared.

We struggle with loss.  As we mourn, we wonder why we're here.  Love waits a season, then acts.

By doing, we discover purpose.

I'm not alone.  The kids carry on.  And all who seek Freedom and Restoration of the Republic are my family, friends and associates.

Until I'm called to spirit, I will do as I've done.

When called, I will not stop.

33/3

Moving.

New home/base of operations.

So much family, business, events I carry with me.

What do I miss at this time?  I will miss the green.

Sure, there are plenty of places with flora and fauna.  I'm looking.  But, I love the simplicity of such fertile, green land.  And feeding the squirrels, birds, cats etal has been a gift.  It's a healing respite.

Find your haven.  They are few and far between.

Simple humanity reminds us what we fight for.

Just Looking

Department stores have changed.  They aren't as numerous as yesteryear.  And they seem homogenized comparatively.  Personality is sacrificed for 'convenience' or process is mechanical.

From visiting with Mom to searching for years myself, it was a comfort to shop/select.  It made many, from rich to poor, special.  For some a rare treat, to others almost everyday.

There were register stations throughout stores and attendant clerks.

I remember seeing what was in stock and wandering round.  A clerk would politely inquire 'May I help you?'  I would respond, 'No thanks.  I'm just looking'.  When ready, I'd get their attention.  They would ring me up and get a commission.  Dealing with the public is not always easy.  I know.  Make the best of encounters -s-.

Caveat emptor is always sound.  Don't buy a pig in a poke.  And lipstick doesn't help lol.

If you know what you want, leeway or not, then check out what's offered.

One sideway comes to mind.  A store had alterations included, as did most.  I got a pair of slacks and stipulated the waist be lower at the waist.  The tailor disagreed. He pulled them way above.  I politely eased them down.  He angrily jerked them back up.  The store lost a purchase and this dope a commission/tip.  Kinda like gov.  We want it to fit.  Some want it cut their way.  Most uncomfortable -s-.

As said, we are at a precipice.  Restoring the Republic is something best approached knowing what we want.

Look before you leap.
