Twilight Time

The Twilight Zone made a great positive impression on me.  It was a key to unlock the imagination indeed.  My Friday night was complete with TZ then the late night classic horror movies hosted by Selwyn.

There were thought provoking episodes about various facets of human life and beyond.  As a kid, it stimulated my mind just as all the other cultural assets available.  The library was another place where I gained so much knowledge.  Along with actually meeting people of all walks of life, I started a lifelong practice of reaching out and being available to learn. 

I'm not here to offer commentary on the show, episodes, Rod Serling, nor anything/anyone else.  It is what it is.  Decide for yourselves.

I am here to talk of the slick exterior/blowsy interior of liberal superiority.

Ask a simple question, get a verbose ridicule strewn answer and not from the one addressed.

A fellow who is well known for his work on filmic nostalgia, asked about the current conflagration re gun.  He purported to want to know why people should have certain kinds.  His question was met but haughty antigun support and a withering disdain for Freedom lovers.

Collectivists came out in force and lambasted the guns and the 2A.  Their replies were to say the least voluminous and if examined, were full of holes.  Anyone daring to espouse progun/pro2A/proFreedom views were ganged upon and looked down upon by the mandarins of te left.

 I simply asked the person how he defined the 2A.  That was met with the same attitude and an article that relied on lies and half truths as is the wont of collectivists.

I was accused of 'sealioning': A subtle form of trolling involving "bad-faith" questions. You disingenuously frame your conversation as a sincere request to be enlightened, placing the burden of educating you entirely on the other party. If your bait is successful, the other party may engage, painstakingly laying out their logic and evidence in the false hope of helping someone learn. In fact you are attempting to harass or waste the time of the other party, and have no intention of truly entertaining their point of view. Instead, you react to each piece of information by misinterpreting it or requesting further clarification, ad nauseum. The name "sea-lioning" comes from a Wondermark comic strip.

I asked a straightforward question, which is endemic to the question.  Types of guns are demonized and attempts to remove them are infringements. 

It was necessary to know how this guy saw the 2A, though I suspected he either didn't value it at all or he indeed sought to infringe.  I was going to ask him why.

The respondent sealioned me instead reversing things in true as it were Alinskyan style.  I told him he had his Alinsky down.  He called me a jingoist and said that was enough.  Got his goat.

Then, he rewrote the response and asked me how that made me feel.  ?  I blocked him.  I have no time for trolls nor giving him negative energy for that is what they seek.  And a sick need for attention.

Which brings me to this haughty disdain liberals have for those of us Restoring the Republic.  They have only pride and controlling due to lack of self. Thus, they wish to control all.  Collectivism 101.

All these guys are Twilight Zone and James Bond fans.  Plenty of guns and violence.

In Bond's case it's vicarious to be a killer who gets the girl.  It's a common fantasy because Bond is a state agent.  They seem to forget how often he runs afoul of his superiors as a rebel.  He nails bad guys who seek to destroy the world and he is rewarded with the ladies/luxury.  He isn't just offing people in his way.

Pat McGoohan had a moment on Danger Man where he noted any luxury was a treat, for the agents lived dangerous lives.

Twilight Zone often depicted struggle against tyranny.  They perceive it as fascist.  I see it as collectivist.  They missed the greater deeper message of individualism and justice set forth on the show.  Conscience and caring for others are also championed.

Collectivists see what they want.

We who live in and seek Liberty look for that quality in others and circumstances.

So, don't be shy.  Stand up to tyranny like on TZ.

Stop however you can, the bad guys seeking to destroy Freedom.

As for getting the girl, or boy for you ladies, well that's up to you lol.
